On Wednesday evening I headed up to Big Waters after an email and sure enough a Black-necked Grebe was having a wee wander round the lake, unfortunately it was right over the other side but still good views through the scope and a few distant bits of video were obtained.
A friend of mine who lives in the West End has a CCTV camera outside his house and has been leaving out food for anything that passes. He had been seeing a Fox for several nights when one night when the Fox arrived a Cat was already at the table grate. No blood was spilled although a fascinating battle took place.
