Fun In The Garden With Tits

On 30 Mar Carole and I first spotted both our resident Blue Tits taking food to their little hidey hole where the neighbours cable from their security light goes into the wall and bringing fecal sacs out.

.
Its now 15 Jun and still no sign of anything fledging.  Carole has kept watch for about a couple of hours a day and I try to watch for a while after work and take a few more pics.  One of the Tits seems to favour getting sustenance from our Suet Balls which we have noticed a great increase in usage in the last 2-3 weeks as also a couple of Coal Tits seem to be feeding on it and heading straight back to a small copse next to the church which is directly opposite our house.  The other Tit seems to collect copious amounts of Caterpillars from the small patch of nettles in our garden and the huge patch of them in the back of next doors garden.  There is also a 3rd Blue Tit which comes to the Feeders but then heads about 10 Gardens down but can't spot where

I did time them one night and they did 26 visits in 52mins 31 Secs then unfortunately I had to go and join Carole for Dinner

Also feeding in the Garden is quite a large amount of young Starlings who seem to have a really great time.  They are feeding by themselves and I haven't seen any of them being fed by adults for a few days now.  They also have Carole changing the water in 4 lots of bowls at least 3 times a day as they continually come down for baths.

We also have 2 young Blackbirds and a few House Sparrows but not as many as last year.  Hopefully they will get a 2nd brood in.
